I hadn’t thought of using Wave for a personal notebook. Seems like a good idea, since it lets you keep your correspondence and ideas in one place, but I think I’ll stick to Evernote

I got PhotoShop Elements 6 with my Wacom tablet, as well as Corel Painter Essentials 4. I vastly prefer Painter, but that’s for image creation rather than editing so much. I think GIMP would have to be one of my favorites, though, since it’s pretty customizable (never mind that I can’t make plugins work!).
I love this post! Thanks for the quality tips. They would have helped a lot when I was figuring out my first WordPress installation, but I think they’ll help more now that I’m trying to monkey with it.

To fill in your own profile, make sure you're logged in. If you're not using Facebook, you can upload your user photo at Gravatar. Then, edit your profile to add your web site and bio.

On Free or Cheap Image Editors for Mac (More than Preview, Less Than Photoshop):
