SXSW InteractiveVoting for SXSW Interactive panel proposals closes end-of-day tomorrow, and your little green thumbs-up counts for 30% of a panel's chance of actually happening. Here's the panel I proposed, the one I'll be on (if it's voted through), and others I've voted for.

Post your picks for panels you've given the thumbs up in the comments, so we can help make the good stuff come to fruition in Austin this spring.

The great people behind Mindshare LA have a panel about building interactive art.

Here’s my proposal for a talk titled “The Ballmer Peak: How Alcohol Intake Affects Coding.” http://panelpicker.sxsw.com/ideas/view/3115

It’s a tongue in cheek, Mythbusters-style study to see if the Ballmer peak really exists. I’ve assembled crack team of coders to imbibe various amounts of alcohol and compete to build a solid web app over a weekend.

Last minute votes would be much appreciated ;)

Hey, not that I don’t love coding while intoxicated as much as the next engineer, but I think open public data is nearly as cool and much easier to convince the public of.

Here’s a panel by one of the guys involved with DataSF and CivicDB, opening up San Francisco’s public records in a model way that other communities can easily adopt.

I voted for “Beyond Twitter: Can Social Technologies Effect Global Change?“.

I know that Tracy Pell has done great work in helping connect people in Africa with folks here in America through social networking and micro-economic solutions.

As the “third world” continues to play a greater role in global affairs because of its resources – both human and natural – it’s important to consider the impact of social networking on that development and on connecting folks in small African villages with those in mighty American cities.

This is an awesome list here, Gina! I’ve just gone ahead and thumbed them up : ). The ones I’m mostly looking to attend are about the shift to real-time that so many web technologies are moving toward–and how to filter and search that. One example: http://panelpicker.sxsw.com/ideas/view/5112

I hope you’ll also check out mine, about the direction of communication that digital communication is taking us: http://panelpicker.sxsw.com/ideas/view/3574

Look forward to seeing you again in Austin!
