My positive take on Snow Leopard published over at Lifehacker this morning, where I tackle what all the non-developer-specific improvements 10.6 offers to upgraders. In a nutshell, it’s speed, a better Dock and menu bar, Microsoft Exchange support, QuickTime X and helpful Finder tweaks. One negative for the new dock is the lack of “force quit” for an opening application. I miss that.
Hey Claudio, if you hold the Alt/Option key when you right-click an open application’s Dock icon, you get the Force Quit option. (Unless I’m misinterpreting what you’re saying.)
That’s exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much.
I don’t understand how this “positive take” squares with your earlier position that Snow Leopard is a “Snow Job” and a service pack.
